Job Summary:
As a Carrier Sales Representative, you are responsible for the strategic matching of available carrier equipment to every available customer load. You must adhere to carrier qualification requirements, customer requirements, and related DOT and industry regulations. You will also negotiate rates with carriers to obtain the best possible rate in the marketplace for each load moved.
Carrier Sales Representatives must also procure, develop, and maintain quality working relationships and loyalty with reliable carriers to successfully move the customer’s freight at an advanced-level service expectation. You must uphold consistent communication with carriers and internal DRT teams concerning modifications in pick-up and delivery schedules. You must proactively address and resolve issues such as time constraints, route and weather delays, unexpected accessorial charges, and instances of delayed or damaged shipments to ensure the flawless movement of the customer's freight.

Let’s look at what you will be doing:
· Strategically match carrier equipment to every available customer load, adhering to carrier qualification requirements, customer requirements, and related DOT and industry regulations, as well as ensure they meet compliance requirements
· Maintain reliable communications with carriers and internal DRT teams regarding the movement of freight by coordinating capacity and ensuring timely pick-up and delivery
· Manage shipment capacity by negotiating rates with carriers to obtain the best possible rate in the marketplace for each load
· Foster new relationships with carriers to further develop your carrier base with a goal of repetitive contracted business; collect and document available equipment from carriers as well as their preferred lanes and services they offer.
· Maintain and nurture existing carrier relationships through effective communication by understanding their needs and exploring further growth opportunities

· Excellent communication and grammar skills while multi-tasking and paying strong attention to our customers, with the ability to thrive under pressure and work with a sense of urgency.
· Collaborate effectively in a dynamic team environment, while also delivering independent results.
· High School diploma mandatory; College degree preferred, with at least one year of brokerage experience required
· Demonstrate a proactive and positive "can-do" attitude that fuels success and fosters a winning culture.
